Holly Sullivan
Holly Sullivan is bilingual in both official languages; she graduated from École secondaire de Pain Court in 2002 and attended the University of Ottawa. Following a transfer in 2004, she completed her B.A. in Political Science and graduated from the University of Windsor in 2008. She is currently following a new course of studies at St. Clair College, hoping to gain her Paralegal license.
Holly would be extremely honoured and pleased to represent her community as a Green Party Member of Provincial Parliament for Chatham-Kent-Essex this fall at Queens Park. Born in Chatham, Ontario, Holly was raised on a farm by Thames River; she has three siblings, all of whom (in addition to her parents and grandparents) are extremely important to her. Her parents are both small business owners in Chatham-Kent and currently still live on the farm which she grew up.
Holly has never been someone to shy away from community involvement! From joining brownies and girl guides, to figure skating and hockey, School Board Trustee in High School (Conseil scolaire du district des écoles catholiques du sud-ouest) and OSTA-AECO executive member, a Senator at the University of Windsor, class representative and now founding President of the Paralegal Club at St. Clair College. She has volunteered with the Optimist Club of Chatham, the Knights of Columbus (St. Peter’s Church) as well as coached and trained minor hockey in Tilbury and Pain Court.
Holly has a variety of professional experience in addition to her volunteer activities which make her a great candidate. She has worked for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, conducted community assistance initiatives through St. Clair College as well as a variety of other positions in a myriad of industries.
Holly strongly believes in advocacy and self-actualisation. The people in the community of Chatham-Kent have a great deal to be thankful for, and to offer, to the rest of the province, and the Holly is passionate and convinces that the Green Party can support its future endeavours whole-heartedly! Never shy, Holly wants to commit to brining the voice of Chatham-Kent to Toronto, at Queen’s Park, where it needs to be heard! Holly is a strong believer that a member of parliament who represents a constituency ought to be accountable, responsible, honest and hard-working. Regardless of whether she is successful in this election, she will not cease to be a strong voice for her community; from the solar panels and the wind turbines to unemployment rates and education, she would not hesitate to do what is right, to stand up for Chatham-Kent-Essex!
In her spare time, Holly loves to play hockey, read and catch up on time with family and friends.
