Dufferin — Caledon Greens will be hosting their federal and provincial AGM

It will include the presentation of reports for 2010, election of the new executive for 2011 and the nomination of a provincial candidate.

The deadline for provincial candidate nominations has passed, and the only formal application submitted was from Rob Strang, who was the provincial candidate in the riding in 2007.

Although there were no other nominations, the candidacy will have to be confirmed in the nomination meeting, with party members having the opportunity to vote for Strang or the traditional Green Party None of the Above (NOTA) candidate.

Guest speakers at the meeting will include Mike Schreiner, the leader of the Green Party of Ontario, and Rebecca Harrison, Green Party of Canada Ontario organizer, candidate and shadow cabinet member.

The public is welcome to attend, whether they are members of the party or just curious
