Peter Ellis, B.Ed., M.Sc. (McGill) is a father of three who spent 10 years as a teacher and principal, including two years on Baffin Island working with the Inuit. After leaving teaching, he spent 30 years in industry as an importer, exporter, and provider of furnishings for hotels and seniors’ homes. He has worked closely with the design, carpet, furniture and fabric industries in his capacity of President of Peachtree Manufacturing Ltd. for 20 years.
Peter is a staunch believer that Ontario and Canada need to adopt fair trade rules that would protect our jobs while increasing Canadian business outside of North America. He supports a green tax shift on resource industries, and maintains that improving our education system, science and technology would help Ontario compete on the world stage of international commerce.
