Anita believes that this is a critical time environmentally, socially and politically. As a first generation Canadian born in Toronto and as a young woman and university student, she wants to be part of the crucial decision making that will impact Ontario’s citizens today and define the lifestyle for them and their families in the future.

Anita has shown commitment to her community and has set goals to become involved personally, both locally and globally. A former Political Science student at York, Anita applies her unique talents in the following ways:

• active member of the GREEN PARTY of ONTARIO
• worked for Pollution Probe as an Executive Assistant
• personal attendant to Barbara Turnbull, a journalist at the Toronto Star
• involved in Student Governments as Class Representative and P.R. Officer
• student volunteer with Senior Citizens as a Home Maintenance worker
• volunteer soccer coach with youth in East York
• initiated, developed and taught a Summer Arts Camp for children in a developing village in Trinidad

Anita believes that she has a social responsibility to help propel the changes that are needed to provide an equitable social and political system.

Anita believes that the Green Party will provide the solutions that Ontario citizens are looking for to increase their ability to live in a sustainable, holistic, healthy and safe environment.
