Jamie Armstrong is a 45-year-old Operations Program Coordinator at a Sarnia refinery, where he has worked for 17 years. He lives with his wife Vickie and their five children, aged nine to 16, on the farm where he was raised.

Jamie’s community involvement includes three years on the Lambton Kent District School Board, and he served for six years on the executive of the Suncor employees bargaining association.

Jamie is a newcomer to the Green Party of Ontario whose frustration with both the Liberal and Conservative approaches to education funding led him to run in this election. He is a strong believer in merging Ontario’s school systems, in the energy conservation and in renewable fuels.
