Adrian Walker was raised in Toronto and attended the University of Western Ontario, where he took an active interest in environmental history and politics. Upon graduation, he went to Spain, completing a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela on foot, before moving to England to be closer to elderly relatives. Taking up work as a bartender in Oxford, he quickly found himself a manager in the culturally vibrant QI Club, where he regularly met and engaged some of Briton's best minds in art, acting and politics.

Upon returning to Toronto, Adrian completed the Canadian Securities Course and began working for one of Canada's major mutual fund companies.

Throughout his travels and careers, Adrian has continued to learn from other cultures and approach ideas without prejudice. He believes the challenges we face with regards to global warming, city health and waste management will lead to no less a revolution than the introduction of the car 100 years ago. Change of that magnitude will take greater courage and ingenuity than the two major parties have been willing to exercise so far.

It is Adrian’s hope that Ontario can draw on the experiences of other countries to tackle the problems facing the environment, combining proven strategies with a fresh outlook to effect real change.
