Born and raised in Oakville, David Januczkowski attended Sheridan College and Lakehead University. Since attaining his designation as a Certified Management Accountant in 1990, he has held a variety of positions in financial management, and is currently the Controller for a manufacturer in the automotive sector.

David lives in Freelton with his wife Teresa and 10-year-old son. He has been involved with a local ratepayers’ association as well as Positive Power, a local not-for-profit co-operative developing clean, sustainable energy through community-based projects. He is a member of the Council of Canadians and has been active with the local district of the Society of Management Accountants as a chairperson and director for 20 years. Over the years, David has filled a range of other volunteer roles, including soccer coach, college and university student representative, youth group president, and church treasurer.

David has been involved locally in both the federal and provincial Green Parties, and ran as a candidate in the 2004 and 2006 federal elections.
