Coordinator of Internal Communications
Description:
The GPO Coordinator of Internal Communications is a member of the Messaging Team and reports to the Director of Messaging. This position will ensure effective communication (two-way) with GPO members using various tools and by coordinating volunteer teams.
Requirements:
• Recruits and trains members to volunteer to lead and develop internal communications teams, including for the newsletter, email and web content, and web development
• Work with Fundraising and Membership Teams and the Executive Director to advise and carry-out strategies for member communications
• Ensures that effective communications are sent and posted on-time and summarizes feedback and opinions from members
• Researches and gains feedback on effective internal message strategies
• Supports the Director of Messaging and Executive Director as required
Skills:
• Commitment to the GPO’s 10 key values and key messages
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Excellent organizing and team building skills, volunteer coordination
• Background in communications or marketing, team management
Time Commitment:
3 to 6 hours per week
