I am seeking to continue in the position of South West Region Representative (male) on the Provincial Executive, after being appointed in January 2009 to temporarily fill the vacancy. I am originally from London Ontario, though my roots run deep through the smaller communities west of there. I currently reside in Leamington, and am a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department here. In 2003 I was elected to the Municipal Council of the Township of Pelee, and was in that role through 2005 when employment took me out of the Municipality. I believe my experiences in Municipal government, coupled with intimate knowledge of the health sector offer unique perspectives to the executive. Since my appointment, I have immersed myself in learning and participating in as many aspects of the party as I can. I spent 10 days work on the Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes- Brock by-election, and I have taken every opportunity to meet with local Greens in the London-Windsor corridor. I am co-ordinating with my co-rep. From the southwest on a committee for the fall 2009 APC and look forward to continuing there.
