Gordon is committed to the principles of the Green Party and has forged valuable ties in the community based on green values, like sustainable development, strong community bonds, economic responsibility, and social compassion.

Gordon Harris is a writer, educator, public speaker, community activist and entrepreneur in Sudbury and has worked hard to improve his community and to promote responsible lifestyle choices through his professional and volunteer life. Gordon brings valuable leadership experience through his work in education and as a producer and writer of television and radio programs, plus media sales expertise. He speaks English, French and Italian.

Gordon is currently serving as president of the Sudbury Arts Council, and has also served on the boards of several community organizations. He is the author of the trails map and an ecology map for Sudbury, plus was co-creator of 18 other high profile mapping projects featuring the recreational trails system of Ontario. (440,000 so far copies on recycled paper!)

His other work has included coordinating the efforts of Ski Ontario, the Trans Canada Trail Association and the Ontario Provincial Government. Gordon has also done extensive work as a fundraiser with school groups, Scouts Canada and social charities, including festival events.
