Green Party leader to attend Green Living Show and Citizens' Inquiry on Uranium

TORONTO – April 25, 2008 – Green Party of Ontario leader Frank de Jong will attend the Green Living Show as well as the Toronto Citizens' Inquiry on Uranium Mining this weekend in Toronto.
The Green Living Show, on this weekend at Exhibition Place, is a consumer event dedicated to green information, innovation and inspiration. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, actor Ed Begley Jr. and environmental activist Robert Kennedy Jr. are among the keynote speakers. The show features more than 350 Earth-friendly exhibitors and seminars offering visitors an opportunity to learn more about sustainable living, energy, green building, transportation, environmental education, green homes and gardens, fashion, food, health, fitness, eco-travel and green business.
The Toronto Citizens' Inquiry on Uranium Mining is organized by Students Against Climate Change in cooperation with the Community Coalition Against Uranium Mining and the Social Justice Committee of the Graduate Students Union of the University of Toronto. These groups are holding a citizens' inquiry on Saturday to examine the Ontario government's failure to duly protect its citizens from the impacts of uranium mining in Ontario.
