Joseph Rini was born and raised in Toronto, and is currently involved in a variety of community level fitness and sport initiatives. Joseph is running for the Green Party because he shares its values of environmental stewardship, sustainable food production, support for social equality and accessible health care, and emphasis on democratic decision making processes.

Joseph Rini graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Toronto in 2008, where he also captained the Varsity Soccer team. He has since worked at IBM, started a small consulting company, and currently runs a boot camp fitness company in North York and is part of the Vaughan Soccer Club’s technical coaching staff. After graduating university Joseph spent a year living in Stockholm, and backpacked in South America for 3 months. These diverse experiences have helped shape a progressive social view that will inform his voting decisions at Queen’s Park if elected.

Joseph joined the Green Party because he feels it can best protect interests of current and future generations. He has also recently begun volunteering with the Democracy Center, an NGO that works to advocate global democracy and justice and environmental accountability, particularly with regards international investment in developing countries.

Joseph is an avid athlete and lover of the outdoors. He currently plays in the Canadian Soccer League, and enjoys exercising outdoors, cycling and camping.

Joseph is proud to be your provincial Green Party candidate for York West.
