Tina Danese
Tina Danese is an energetic and dedicated 37 year old Ontarian who was born in Toronto. She holds a Humber College Child and Youth Worker Diploma and a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care with a minor in Public Administration from Ryerson University. Tina is proud of her Italian and French Canadian heritage and is fluent in French and Italian with a working knowledge of Spanish.
She has over 15 years experience working in the non-profit sector with focus on connecting youth, families and individuals in Ontario and across Canada to regional and local programs and services and building community capacity.
A great focus of Tina’s life is her passion for young people and increasing positive outcomes in their lives as well as community engagement and empowering individuals and families in overcoming life’s obstacles. Her work with disengaged and hard-to-serve youth has inspired her to foster healthy and inclusive environments that promote active participation of the whole community.
Tina is a seasoned family ally and community connector who has been facilitating the development and delivery of various social programs that address gaps in existing public policies, and establishing strong inter-organizational and community partnerships.
Tina is a steering committee member with Ontario Youth Matter, a youth advocacy campaign encouraging youth under 30 to add their voice to the political process; she is an avid cyclist and nature enthusiast. Tina enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her dog Rosco.
Tina is proud of her strong work ethic. She has proved to be an astute and diplomatic communicator dedicated to the principles of social justice, environmental sustainability and public sector accountability.
