George Singh
George Singh, 37, was born in Toronto of Bermudian and Guyanese heritage and has lived in the Rouge-River riding for over 25 years. George is a legal assistant, business owner, and community mentor, studying full-time at the University of Toronto. George also currently volunteers as an Executive Board Member of the Caribana Arts Group.
George's goal is to bridge the gap between the community and elected officials. He is a strong supporter of all eligible voters exercising their right to choose responsible government. Education, public safety, the environment, and the cost of living are at the forefront of George's agenda when it comes to public office. George has a natural ability to relate to all segments of our society regardless of age, colour, class or culture, and wants to help ensure that our city and country remain one of the best places in the world to live.
As a university student, George believes in strong relevant education, as an entrepreneur George understands business owners and the ability to create jobs. As a sole custody single father, George has experienced the challenges that single parent families face. George has also lived with and cared for people with disabilities and wants to ensure that people who need assistance receive it. As a youth mentor, George has worked extensively with low-income communities and knows that social programs are the most effective crime prevention tool.
George Singh recognizes the Green Party is composed of members from the community that truly care and want to affect change in a positive way. That has inspired George Singh to join the Green Party and their vision of better future for Ontario.
George Singh is the nominated candidate for the Green Party of Ontario in the riding of Scarborough - Rouge River.
