Solar & Conservation Fair Exhibitor Opportunity
I am pleased to announce that the Etobicoke Lakeshore Business Improvement Area (BIA) community will host the 2nd Annual Solar & Conservation Fair on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Assembly Hall. The Fair is a community-based initiative designed to educate residents and businesses about opportunities on how to live and work more sustainably. It is being organized by greenTbiz, a program of the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA), and volunteers from the Lakeshore Planning Council.
Last year, approximately 120 attendees joined 15 exhibitors including solar developers and sustainability-focused organizations such as the Toronto Renewable Energy Cooperative, the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association, JobStart, Toronto Hydro and Chocosol to learn how they could go solar, conserve energy usage or find a green career. You can learn more about last year’s Fair here: http://wakulat.blogspot.com/2010/09/solar-conservation-fair-on-lakeshore...
This year, the Fair is expanding and broadening its outreach with more seminars and exhibitors in order to further engage attendees and allow them to learn about the numerous ways their actions can contribute to a greener future in Ontario. The program will include seminars on the following topics:
Residential Rooftop Solar PV;
Commercial Rooftop Solar PV;
Green Careers;
Energy Conservation; and
Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability

We are now looking for exhibitors who share an interest in building sustainable communities and would like to be associated with an emerging annual event. Your commitment and support of this movement is well recognized and as such we would be pleased if you’d like to join us as one of a select few exhibitors. We are keen to welcome exhibitors in the following categories:
Renewable Energy Developers (e.g. solar; wind; geothermal);
Energy Conservation;
Green Careers;
Food;
Urban Agriculture & Gardening;
Green Community Groups; and
Healthy and Sustainable Lifestyle Products and Services.
Our fee schedule is as follows:
Commercial Business - $200
Not-for-Profit / Community Group - $100
This will give you one (1) table outside the Assembly Hall to display whatever information you wish and to engage attendees in any manner you think is appropriate. In the event of inclement weather, the display area will be covered and/or move inside the Assembly Hall. You will be able to set up your table 1 hour before the event and be required to complete take-down 1 hour after the event is finished. Your spot will not be guaranteed until payment is received. Cheques can be made out to “greenTbiz”.
Should you have any further questions about exhibiting at the Fair, please contact [*].
Sincerely,
Robert Wakulat
