Volunteers needed for Water for the World (W4W) WorkVolunteers needed for Water for the World (W4W) Workshops, March 5 – 9
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is organizing Water for the World (W4W) Workshops, as part of National Engineering Month. These workshop are targeted toward grades 5-9 and involve discussing local and global water issues vs. poverty and literacy rates, and also include hands on water filter building activities for the students.
These workshops have been delivered in the past to schools in the Toronto region at public libraries through their volunteers. This year, EWB has reached out to the GPO in their call for volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering for Water for the World, please register at http://w4w.eventbrite.com. This is an excellent opportunity for you to contribute to your community and to network with professionals across the city in a meaningful way.
You can learn more about EWB and their programs at EWB Canada and EWB Toronto.
