100 days to E-day!
Today marks 100 days before we head to the polls for the October 6th provincial election. The Green Party of Ontario is the strongest it has ever been, as we
continue push forward with bold plans for Ontario's economy, energy, health, food and government that works for people.
I am amazed by our success to date, especially how much this organization has grown in the last four years.
We embarked on a journey to create a relevant, professional organization that provides an important alternative to the old parties at Queen’s Park. We set ambitious targets and have met them, in some cases exceeded them.
Under Mike Schreiner's capable leadership, informed by input from hundreds of people around the province, we released a five-point plan for Ontario's future – providing sensible solutions on key issues facing us today.
We had historic advances in recent by-elections, placing third in two and within 30 votes in a third.
We have reached eight percent in the polls and are building a fantastic team of 107 strong candidates who will deliver our message in communities across the province.
I want to thank you for your continued support. Without your help, we would not be able to run our strongest campaign ever this fall.
And the fun is just starting! I invite you to share in the excitement. How can you get involved?
- Order a lawn sign for the election
- Fill out our volunteer form to help your local candidate
- Forward this email to one other person
- Share Mike's introduction to our five-point plan on Facebook and Twitter
Greens around the world have made historic gains over the past year – forming provincial government in Germany for the first time, and winning seats for the first time ever in England, Australia and just two months ago in Canada.
Let's share this important moment in Canadian politics by making a push to elect MPPs to Queen's Park in 100 days.
It's time.
