Jessica is in the final stages of a Ph.D. in Theology, in the area of environmental ethics. Her research focuses on the role of ecological literacy in individual behavioural change toward more ecologically sustainable lifestyles. In the course of her work, she has become aware of the limitations of individual change without engaged civic action. Her personal and professional commitments to the Green Party of Ontario (and Canada) reflect this awareness.

I am originally from London Ontario, though my roots run deep through the smaller communities west of there. I currently reside in Leamington, and am a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department here. In 2003 I was elected to the Municipal Council of the Township of Pelee, and was in that role through 2005 when employment took me out of the Municipality. I believe my experiences in Municipal government, coupled with intimate knowledge of the health sector offer unique perspectives to the executive.
